春灯图
此图为大千先生从敦煌回四川的次年所作。大千先生西行敦煌后,人物画风为之一变,线条刚劲,设色华贵。《春灯图》以唐装女子赏灯为题,从中也窥见大唐盛世光景。此画中女子及小孩身材比例匀称丰腴,线条流畅,造型生动自然,作色艳而不俗,布局巧妙合理,一派富丽堂皇之气。全图充满动感,使观者过目难忘。
2000年10月,此画原作由佳士得香港有限公司,拍卖为336万港元。

Spring Lantern Scene
This painting was painted by Mr.Zhang upon his returned to Sichuan from Dunhuang. The painted landscape and all the characters within his painting was a clear sign of the influence of the recent trip Mr.Zhang took to dunhuang. The coloring scheme and the artistic innovation was inspired by the ancient painting in and around Dunhuang. This painting, “Spring Lantern”, centered on the theme of Tang’s Dynasty women appreciating the spring lantern festival. It also showed the peak of the Tang Dynasty economically and socially. There were clear good size contrast of the characters within the painting. The characters were brought to life via the skillful work of Mr.Zhang in this painting. The painting depicted the opulence and elegance lifestyle of the palace. It is to the amazement and unforgetfulness of the audience who had viewed the painting.
This painting was auctioned off by the Hong Kong company, JiaShi on October 2000, for an amount of 3.36 million Hong Kong Dollars.
The embroidery work exemplified the vividing colors of all the characters in it. The curvacious bodies of the women were clearly visible and lively in this embroidery masterpiece. The absolute intricate needlework created and brought all the characters to life in this masterpiece.
This embroidery masterpiece took nearly a year to complete.
