富贵大利
1951年,大千先生自印度大吉岭返港定居,更加思念故土、亲人,其间应友人之邀作此幅画作,借此抒表“桃花已满三千岁,青鸟飞来亦白头”的沦海桑田之叹。
此幅《富贵大利》之作,取景实物,图中白头翁腹毛蓬松,尾羽丰满,目光熠熠,喙和指爪都极精锐。画中粗壮的荔枝树干苍劲老辣,果实累累,使画面更显立体感。荔枝树叶的赋色变化尤其丰富,更显现了全图远、近、高、低各自不同的丰富层次。
原作于2010年北京匡时秋季拍卖会,拍得112万元人民币。
此作由尚品绣坊耗时两年绣制而成,采用了传统蜀绣针法中最为精致灵动的“施毛针”。此针法以“风动”特性著名,既是指要绣制动物羽毛的灵动感,则必须由绣娘亲自体会画面原意,寻找到作者意图中之“风的来处”,再根据动物毛发“随风而起”的特点,一针一动态,一针一方向,最后成就栩栩如生的自然精灵,如此精妙,实属难得。
Prosperity and Wealth
Upon Mr.Zhang’s returned from India to settle down in Hong Kong, he was all caught up in many emotional afterthoughts of his hometown and his family. He was invited by his friends to paint this picture. The painting illustrating the proverb, ”The peach tree is more than three thousand years old, the young bird has aged and is now full of white colored feather upon returning home”, showing his urgent sense of hope to return home and settle down.
This painting depicted a white headed owl with its healthy fluffy underbelly feathers, sharp eye sight, with beak and claws that are all in its prime. The lychee tree branches is old and sturdy with abundant lychee fruits. This gave the painting a feeling of the three-dimensional perspective. The varying colors of the lychee leaves at different parts of the tree brought the picture to life as perceived.
This painting was auctioned off in Beijing during the fall auction session in 2010 for an amount of 1.12 million yuan.
The embroidery masterpiece of this painting took two years to complete. It used the traditional Sichuan embroidery technique of “fluffying needlework” to bring the bird to life. This technique was intended to bring the feathers to life as if it was real. The embroiders needed to immerse themselves in the painting by been part of the painting inspiration itself. Then, follow this inspiration in searching for the source of the wind to make the feathers move as if the wind was blowing. This required patience and many years of training to become skillful and an inspired embroider. It stiches a needle at a time to bring the embroidery masterpiece back to life.
